Everyone was nice to me and even told me how smart I was for coming to the event at a young age. They shared tons of secrets and strategies that I never would’ve gotten had I stayed home.
There I was, in a room FULL of people just like me who loved sales and marketing just as much as I did. I couldn’t believe what was happening.
I didn’t know it then, but I was making lifelong connections and friendships.
I was learning the foundation of everything I needed to know to someday become the CEO of 2 multi-million dollar businesses.
But the BEST thing I got from that event is a principle I still use to this day, best summed up by the following quote: “Work The Deal ‘Til They Buy Or Die”.
Never stop following up with a prospect who has expressed interest in your product or service. Send 100 follow ups by phone, email, voicemail, and Facebook messages if you have to. As long as you do, you will get the deal sooner or later.
